Do I have to be strong to blacksmith/weld/etc.?No. People of all fitness and ability levels are welcome and we will always do what we can to accommodate anyone who needs assistance of any kind.

How old do I have to be?Each class and event has its own age requirements in the description, but-- generally speaking-- we welcome ages 14 and up. Ages 9-13 can participate in some classes with a parent or guardian in attendance (contact for details). Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian's signature.

What should I wear/bring with me?Wear all natural fabrics (cotton, linen, silk, canvas, denim, leather, etc.). Synthetic fabrics can melt to the skin and should be avoided. Closed toed shoes are required at all times in the shop. Canvas or leather shoes are recommended but not required. Long hair should be tied back and dangling jewelry/accessories should be removed. Hardy & Fuller provides water and some snacks for our guests, but you are welcome to bring your own. There is access to a water fountain, so you may also wish to bring your own water bottle.

What PPE does Hardy & Fuller provide?Hardy & Fuller provides all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our classes and events, including gloves, safety glasses, aprons/jackets, ear plugs/muffs, dust masks, face shields, welding helmets, welding sleeves, spats, etc. If you have safety equipment of your own that you prefer to wear, please feel free to bring it with you.

How can I cancel or reschedule my class?To cancel or reschedule a class, please sign up to become a member on the website. This is free and is an easy way for you to manage your classes. Once in the member portal, your purchased classes will be visible and you can either cancel or reschedule. If you decided to cancel a class, the amount you paid for that class will be transferred as a credit on your account, to put towards any other classes you might want to take. If you would like a refund and have cancelled before 24 hours of the class, please contact us at info@hardyandfuller.com and we will issue a refund to you. REMINDER: There is a 24 hour cancellation policy that will not allow you to reschedule if inside of those 24 hours. There is no refund if cancelled within 24 hours.

I arrived early for my class/event and the shop looks closed! Should I be worried?Nope! The shop closes daily for lunch and will re-open promptly at the scheduled time.

Do you provide any discounts?YES! We offer an ongoing 15% discount on classes, open studio memberships, and some events to: Students Teachers Seniors (55+) Active military Veterans First responders Low income folks Please email info@hardyandfuller.com before booking to provide proof of discount eligibility.

Is it bad to ask for help?NO! Hardy & Fuller strives to be an inclusive space in all aspects, including with respect to financial need. We believe that financial barriers should not prevent anyone from experiencing and creating art, and if you want to participate despite your circumstances we will be glad to work with you to reach a solution.
